Phone Booth star Colin Farrell may want a word with his investment advisors, as he's facing losses of up to €4 million over 14 Dublin investment properties.
According to a report in today's Sunday Times, the Hollywood star purchased 14 properties between 2004 and 2007 for a combined price of €8 million, including six flats in the Gasworks scheme next to Google's Dublin HQ and five flats at Spencer's Dock.
However, David Browne, managing director of estate agency HT Meagher O'Reilly informed the broadsheet that today's property prices in the capital had fallen by 65.5 per cent, meaning that Farrell's portfolio costs little more than €3.5 million.
"There is significant oversupply, a lack of mortgage finance and general economic uncertainty," estate agent Ronan O'Driscoll from Savills informed the Times.
"In Dublin city, as distinct from the suburbs, we believe prices are approaching the bottom of the cycle, but will remain at current levels for a number of years."
Times aren't too tough for Farrell, however, as he'll return to the big screen this summer in a reboot of Arnold Schwarzenegger's classic sci-fi flick Total Recall.
