Cork hurler Paudie O’Sullivan is to undergo surgery tomorrow after suffering a leg break while on divisional duty last night for Imokilly.

The talented Cork man suffered a broken fibula and tibula in the senior hurling championship clash with CIT, with referee Kevin Murphy abandoning the game after just seven minutes due to the severity of the injury.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance and is now ruled out of action for the season, with the 24 year-old a huge loss to Cork, Imokilly and Cloyne.

O’Sullivan had been expected to undergo surgery today, but took to Twitter this evening to confirm that it will in fact take place tomorrow, while also thanking everyone for their support since the awful break.

We wish Paudie all the best in his recovery.
