Dortmund really in the shi* as pigeons creating serious problems at the Westfalenstadion

It’s not just points that are being dropped in Dortmund it seems.

It’s not just points that are being dropped in Dortmund it seems.

In fairness to last year’s Champions League finalists, they had won every home game in the Bundesliga before Arsenal left with three points in the Champions League this week, but the club has other problems on its hands. Most notably, pigeon droppings en masse.

According to The Metro, the club will be spending thousands of pounds on 20 pyramid shaped mirrors that will reflect light, a bit like a disco ball, to combat the growing issue of pigeon droppings. The mirrors will be placed all over the ground in the hope that pigeons get confused and flock away, the report further said.

With the highest home gate on average in Europe and a brilliant side to watch, Dortmund fans generally have very little to complain about on home days. However the growing number of pigeons using the stadium as a dumping ground has effected supporters and even the coaching staff and the club has decided to take action.

Stop the pigeons, stop the pigeons…
