Brian O'Driscoll hopes winning the Magners League can ease Leinster's Heineken cup agony

Leinster and Ireland star Brian O’Driscoll is looking to the Magners League as comfort for losing their Heineken Cup crown at the hands of Toulouse on Saturday.

O’Driscoll hopes his side can win the Magners League as they currently top the table with one game to go before the play-offs.

He said: “We still have an opportunity to win the Magners League and we will try and re-group. We have to move on now and try to focus our minds on that one.

“You get used to the ring of being European champions, but someone else is going to have the tag now and that’s a disappointment.

“We’ve worked hard and have fallen short, but there’s still the Magners League so we have to take this disappointment and move on.

“We talked about being in the Heineken Cup Final, but that’s not going to happen so we’ll have to make do with attempting to win the Magners League.”

Leinster entertain Edinburgh on Sunday at the RDS at 6.15pm as they chase the title.
