American netminder Tim Howard was the scorer of one of the Premier League season's more bizarre goals on Wednesday night.
You don't get many goalscoring goalkeepers these days. With Jose Luis Chilavert and Jorge Campos long gone, goals from glovemen are usually restricted to the say-a-Hail-Mary-and-go-up-for-an-injury-time-corner variety.
However, Tim Howard served up a treat to open the scoring against Bolton at Goodison Park, with a wind-assisted piledriver clearance from his own penalty area outfoxing poor embarrassed old Adam Bogdan at the other end.
Bogdan and Bolton had the last laugh, with Howard made to eat humble pie by picking the ball out of his net twice in the final 20 minutes as the visitors came away from Merseyside with all three points.
Still, that's not what you came here to see, is it? This, on the other hand, is.
