One of the biggest disappointments in the world of boxing in recent years is that Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao never got it on in the ring. It’s as unlikely now as it ever was that they are ever going to go head to head and besides, even if they did, they’re probably a few years too late at this stage.
Issues around drug testing and, of course, money, are believed to be the reasons behind the non-event, but Mayweather has, unsurprisingly, been quite vocal about whose fault it was that it never happened.
He re-iterated that again last night with a fairly crass message on Twitter showing a series of memes mocking the Filipino fighter for his apparent refusal to take him on, including one of Pacquiao flat out the canvass having been knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez last year.
