Bayern Munich belatedly celebrated their Bundesliga success yesterday, which led to arguably the football photo of the year so far.
The German giants have been rightly earning plaudits left right and centre for their brilliance this season having run away with their domestic league while making short work of the likes of Juventus and Barcelona en route to the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund later this month.
Despite having secured the Bundesliga ages ago, Bayern were only presented with the trophy in their final home game of the season against FC Augsburg and with a fortnight to go until the decider in Wembley, they let their hair down a little at the Allianz Arena yesterday.
Franck Ribery doesn’t have an awful lot of hair to let down but thanks to some brilliant timing by AFP photographer Christof Stache, it looked like the Frenchman temporarily had a beautiful blonde wig made out of beer after Jerome Boateng emptied the contents of a huge glass over his head in the midst of the celebrations.
