Two goals late in the first half have put Manchester City 3-1 ahead against Southampton at the Etihad Stadium.
A Yaya Touré penalty gave City an early lead before Jay Rodriguez was forced off with a serious looking knee injury.
Rickie Lambert’s penalty made it 1-1, before two quickfire strikes from Samir Nasri – following a flowing move involving an offside David Silva – and Edin Dzeko put City in a clear lead.
Substitute Stevan Jovetic went on to seal the victory with City’s fourth late in the second half.
