Aaron Ramsey could make his first appearance of 2014 against Everton on Sunday.

The Welsh international has been missing since injuring his thigh against West Ham at Christmas, and the Gunners have badly missed the former Cardiff player’s goals from midfield.

Ramsey bagged 14 goals before succumbing to injury, but should be fit to help the Gunners cement a Champions League spot for next season.

“Aaron and Nacho Monreal are back training with the squad, so that is good news. Hopefully they will be available for Sunday. (Abou) Diaby is back on the pitches, so that is good news,” manager Arsene Wenger told the club’s official website on Thursday.

Diaby has been out for over a year with his latest knee injury.

Jack Wilshere is also battling to return for the final weeks of the season, while Laurent Koscielny is expected back from a calf problem in time for the FA Cup semi-final against Wigan.

Mesut Ozil, however, is still a number of weeks away from a return to action with a hamstring injury.
