Apple users will now have the joy of using Google Now, which does some pretty smart searching for you

Google Now is the smart searching program that has been around on Android for the past few months, but now, if you have an iPhone or iPad, you can get your hands on it too.
Through the use of “cards”, Google Now brings up sports results for teams that you’ve searched for, weather, cinema times, traffic reports for the routes to your usual destinations, and a whole heap of other interesting features that can give you information on where you are or what you’re doing.
Here’s a screenshot of JOE’s cards, in case you can’t tell, we like sports.
It will also be able to do voice searches (although JOE can tell you from experience that it’s not the most accurate thing in the world) so it might take over some of what Siri does already.
Interesting move on Apple’s part, perhaps this is the first in a series of moves that may see the two platforms become more interactive, which would be interesting.
