The Aviva Stadium will host three group games and one last 16 tie…

UEFA have just announced that the Aviva Stadium will host four games during Euro 2020 with the tournaments show-piece final being played in Wembley.

The Aviva has previously played host to the Europa League final in 2011 but this news is a major boost to the city due to the expected additional revenues that hosting these major matches will provide.

Dublin was chosen to host three group games and a round of 16 knock-out tie along with Copenhagen, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Budapest, Brussels and Glasgow.

The other host cities, and venues for the quarter-finals , include; Baku, Rome, Munich and St Petersburg.

London has been chosen as the host city for both semi-finals and the final itself.
