With the announcement of Ireland’s Euro 2012 squad imminent, it may have been leaked that the mystery player not joining the squad is Fulham winger Damien Duff.
Though the squad will not be revealed until 3.30pm, reports have circulated since last night that a major player for the side will play no part in Ireland’s Euro 2012 campaign, having been forced to pull out due to “personal reasons”.
Though Irish fans have speculated all day over who the player might be, with many believing it to be Aiden McGeady or Darron Gibson, the identity of the player may have been revealed in the past half-hour.
According to European-Championship.com, Damien Duff has been left out of the team, with Seamus Coleman another notable absence, though not many in the JOE office will mourn the omission of Paul Green.
