When it comes to weather warnings, sunshine generally isn’t at the heart of such cautionary advice, but things took a nice change today.
We generally are not the most blessed country when it comes to successive days of glorious sunshine, but this week – perhaps this week only – that is about to change. And for Met Eireann, that resulted in an unusual Irish weather warning.
With temperatures in excess of 27 degrees widespread around the country, expect many Irish folk to go from pasty white to lobster red in double quick time as we lap up the summer sunshine.
This could be the most welcome warning we will ever receive and looks like lasting until Friday at the very least.
We are the first to complain when the weather is not to our liking, but for now we are keeping the sunny side up.
