Ireland looking to break the world record tomorrow for biggest ever Riverdance

Looks like it is time to dust down your mother’s blouse and re-enact your best Michael Flatley impersonation ahead of a Riverdance world-record attempt tomorrow in Dublin.

Looks like it is time to dust down your mother’s blouse and re-enact your best Michael Flatley impersonation ahead of a Riverdance world-record attempt tomorrow in Dublin.

As part of The Gathering celebrations, a world record attempt will be made at Dublin’s Docklands to form the largest ever Riverdance. The world record currently stands at 652 dancers and was set in Nashville, Tennessee, but organisers are hoping for more than 2,000 participants tomorrow with lots of festivities and water displays taking place from 11am in the morning.

The stars of Riverdance, led by the ‘First Lady’ of Riverdance, Jean Butler, will be attempting to break the world record with the help of the general public so whether you are a budding Jean Butler or Michael Flatley, or just always wanted to give it a go, tomorrow could well be your calling.

And for all lads attending, an oversized blouse and mullet would really add to the occasion.
