The Liverpool legend will join Gary Neville in the punditry chair for the 2013/14 season on Sky Sports

Jaime Carragher announced in February that he would retire from the game, having spent his entire career as a Liverpool player, and he will join his old rival Gary Neville on the Sky Sports punditry team for the next season.
The success of Neville’s transition has surprised a lot of people, and the Reds defender will be hoping to have a similar impact.
Carragher’s switch to the studio was announced this morning, and he added that he was a huge fan of Sky’s coverage, saying “what Sky has done for football for over 20 years is incredible and I’m thrilled to be part of their exciting plans for next season.”
“I don’t think there could be a better move for me: to retire from one of the world’s best football clubs at the end of the season and then join one of the world’s best broadcasters”.
However he will keep his focus on playing for Liverpool until the end of the season to help them finish as high in the table as possible, but it will certainly be interesting to have his input on games, having played against many of the Premier League’s finest in recent times.
