Tuneless duo Jedward have become the punter's favourites to end Ireland’s poor luck in the Eurovision.
The cheeky twins are set to team up with Belle Amie singer Rebecca Creighton. The 21 year old sexy songstress has caused a flurry of bets in favour of Jedward and Boylesports were forced to cut their odds from 10/11 into 4/6.
Rivalling the quiff-haired duo in the race to represent Ireland is soulful singer, Nikki Kavanagh. The brunette has a massive voice that could go down a treat with our European counterparts. The Irish firm has installed her at 11/4 to sing in Germany, while Don Mescall (best known for song writing for Ronan Keating) and The Vard Sisters are priced at 4/1 and 10/1 respectively.
Ireland were once a force to be reckoned with when it came to the Eurovision but the demise of our luck came when Donna and Joe failed to even qualify in 2005. This year Ireland are even money to qualify and 4/5 not to qualify.
“Jedward have an army of ‘jedicated’ fans behind them which will give them an immediate advantage and with Rebecca on board, at least someone will be able to hold a tune”, commented Nicola McGeady, Boylesports Spokesperson.
“However, whether the boys will go down a storm in Europe is yet to be seen and there is a high risk that the Dustin embarrassment will haunt us again!” she continued.
Up to date odds on who will represent Ireland:
4/6 Jedward
11/4 Nikki Kavanagh
4/1 Don Mescall
10/1 The Vard Sisters
