Silver Linings Playbook kind of came out of nowhere and proved to be a critical and box office success last year, and it’s just come out to download.
Although it might not be your usual cup of tea, it’s definitely worth a watch, plus there’s some sport in it in the form of American Football, so you can justify watching it that way if you’re feeling self-conscious.
We all enjoyed the work of Bradley Cooper in the brilliant Hangover series, but we have to admit that he really surprised us with his performance here, and again in The Place Beyond the Pines, as he continues to make a name for himself as a talented and versatile actor in Hollywood beyond his work in comedy.
It also stars the lovely Jennifer Lawrence, who is a big favourite here at JOE and seems like an all round legend, not to mention that she scooped the Oscar for her performance here.
Robert De Niro, who we know is a legend, is also in this one, so it’s one that you really shouldn’t miss.
