Napoli’s defeat of Borussia Dortmund provided a number of talking points and to add to the list, Jurgen Klopp spent the second half watching the game with Napoli’s stadium caretaker eating cake.

Napoli took the spoils 2-1 in a game with no shortage of talking points. Klopp went beserk on the sideline when a Dortmund player was not allowed onto the pitch at the time when Gonzalo Higuain put the home side one nil up, Lorenzo Insigne scored a belter of a free-kick and Dortmund keeper Mitchell Langerak chipping his tooth in the process of trying to save the shot.

Klopp was given his marching orders after flipping out on the sideline and spent the second half with the caretaker of Napoli’s stadium Vincenzo Gerrone. In the caretaker’s cubbyhole eating cake no less.

“Klopp was really nice. That was the best visit since Diego Maradona,” he told The Bild.

“I had a bit of cake and water there. Then we sat together on the couch and watched the game,” the 61-year-old Gerrone added.

Guerrone said that Klopp was calm throughout and as a sign of appreciation gave the caretaker a signed jersey of Dortmund star Marco Reus.

Jurgen Klopp, some man for one man.
