Juventus and Arsenal are set to go head to head in a race to sign Wolves striker Kevin Doyle, according to the Sunday World.
Juventus are believed to have been tracking Doyle since his stand out performance against Italy in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, with Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni backing the proposed deal.
However, Arsene Wenger is unlikely to allow the 27-year-old to leave the Premier League without offering him a chance to move to North London and his interest in the striker set to be confirmed with a rival bid.
The Wexford man will meet with Wolves officials in the next ten days to talk about his future, but a source close to the player has revealed that he will leave Molineux if Juve or the Gunners openly declare their interest.
"There is definite interest in Kevin from Arsenal and Juventus," a source close to the deal claims.
"Talks are planned with Wolves over a new contract, but a move is certainly possible this summer.
"Kevin loves playing for Wolves and especially enjoys working with Mick McCarthy, but it would be impossible to turn down the chance to play for clubs like Juventus and Arsenal."
Should Doyle, one of Wolves' most consistent players over the past two seasons leave, the door will be open for Mick McCarthy to swoop for Reading striker Shane Long, who is also thought to be attracting interest from Everton, Fulham and West Brom.
