LEGO is not only a brilliant toy for kids, it can be used by adults to have a right laugh too, as these great videos show.
We all had LEGO as kids but the arrival of YouTube has allowed adults to continue their child-like obsession with the little bricks and make movies with them.
YouTube is awash with various versions of Lord of the Rings and other movies rendered with just the little plastic bricks but here are five clips that we think make the best use of the brick that Godtfred Kirk Christiansen patented on this day in 1958.
Death Star Canteen
Take one Eddie Izzard routine about Star Wars, render it in LEGO and hey presto, millions of hits.
LEGO Ray Houghton
This compilation of the best bits on the history of the Euros done in LEGO for the BBC is good, but the addition of a LEGO Ray Houghton putting the ball in the English net in 1988 makes it a real gem.
Dark Knight trailer
So much work went into this we can only say hats off to the creator. Arguably more entertaining than the film too.
The White Stripes 'Fell In Love With A Girl'
Possibly the first video to utilise LEGO in an non-traditional way. Released in 2002 it was all done by Michel Gondry, who went on to direct Dangerous Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Be Kind, Rewind. Great tune too.
Best bits of Autumn Rugby Internationals
Okay, this is an ad for a jersey manufacturer but the attention to detail makes this a really great of example of what a lot of time and effort can produce.
