In line with Brendan Rodgers' footballing philosophy, Liverpool have signed a very handy and technically gifted player in Iago Aspas.

The fee is rumoured to be around €10 million, but that will be reduced significantly if Celta Vigo, the club he's currently at, are relegated at the end of this season.

Aspas is what they describe as a "crack" in Spain, in other words, he's a key player for his team, and he has shone in a season that most Celta fans would write off as an absolute disaster.

Perhaps it's fair to say that the only reason they still have a chance of staying up is down to his very valuable contributions, which have seen him score 11, make 5 assists, and create a whole other heap of opportunities.

While his shirt says number 10, he can often be found in slightly wider areas, and certainly Coutinho has proved well enough this season that he is the player who will be wearing that number for the next while.

However, the two should be able to link up very nicely, and with a strong emphasis on technical ability now clearly evident in the Liverpool squad, bits of skill like this will be sure to excite the Anfield crowd next season.
