Meath road signage overcomes budget cuts

Budget cuts have affected all forms of public expenditure and council spending has not been spared in the cut-backs. Luckily for motorists in Meath, some people are using their initiative.

Budget cuts have affected all forms of public expenditure and council spending has not been spared in the cut-backs. Luckily for motorists in Meath, some people are using their initiative.

Road signage plays a vital role on Irish roads, particularly on rural roads where the surface can be poor and sharp bends unexpected. With that in mind, some folk in the Royal County have taken to a bit of DIY signage to forewarn their fellow motorists.

This picture was taken outside Oristown in Co. Meath and not only demonstrates responsible behaviour, it is phrased in the most Irish manner possible.
