A game between Kanturk and Leeds in the Cork AUL Premier A Division had one unusual, and seemingly angry, spectator.

The old dog on the pitch is a fine tradition in the world of GAA and beyond. The French like to release a cock on the pitch in rugby and animals from bats to rats have popped up in sporting arenas over the years.

But apart from bull fighting, we can’t recall cattle getting involved too often. Until now. This brilliant picture, sent into us by Ian Flanagan, shows what happened in their game last night.

The man being chased is Josh Brosnan and you will be glad to know he lived to tell the tale of this close encounter in Gurteenard.

And Kanturk won 2-1 so maybe they will bring the fearsome beast to every game now.

Thanks to Kanturk AFC for posting on Facebook and Ian Flanagan for sending our way.
