Sometimes we forget why we love the eccentric character that is Phil Brown, but then he does something crazy and reminds us why

It wouldn’t be unusual to see Jeremy Kyle, he’s normally on TV for hours every day, but it would be slightly strange to have him in the dressing room giving you a team talk.
Phil Brown didn’t seem to think it would be weird, however, when he brought in the TV star to give a team talk yesterday at Southend, where he took over as manager a few weeks ago.
When reports emerged of this happening, it was written off as someone having a bit of a laugh, but thanks to some tweets from Southend players, it seems that it was actually true.
We really hope that he sat down on the ground, told the lads to “put something on the end of it”, revealed the DNA tests to show that the striker’s new kid was in fact the keeper’s son, and then told the whole team to “grow a pair” and threw them out of the dressing room.
Southend lost their game 1-0 to Morecambe, in other news.
