At 6 foot 4 inches, David de Gea is probably used to towering over most mere mortals but he looked like a small child when he grabbed a photo alongside Serge Ibaka of the Oklahoma City Thunder last night.
Ibaka was one of a number of NBA stars on show when the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the Philadelphia 76ers at the MEN Arena in Manchester last night and De Gea was one of a number of footballers in attendance along with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Fernandinho, Jack Rodwell and the name on everyone’s lips at the moment, Adnan Januzaj.
De Gea caught up with Ibaka for a photo after the game and despite being a fair size of a man himself, he was dwarfed by the Congo-born power forward, who stands 6 foot ten inches in height and appears to be nearly as wide as he is tall on this evidence.

De Gea is a lot better in the air now than when he first came to United, but few goalkeepers would fancy coming for a cross if this fella was coming full speed in the other direction; we know we wouldn’t.
