NASA were left a little embarrassed yesterday when a picture on their website displayed a giant willy on the surface of Mars, courtesy of their multi-billion euro rover explorer machine.

The drawing of the male baby-maker always draws a wry smile, from the time you drew it in your classmate’s copybook to seeing it graffitied on a wall, and it was no different just because this came on the surface of a planet more than 35 million miles away at its closet point.
The image was created by the tracks of one of NASA’s first batch of rover robots as they scoured Mars for signs of water erosion and possibly life.
The childish humour – guilty as charged in the JOE office –obviously appealed to many as the website was temporarily down due to the huge number looking for a glimpse of the funny shape.
At least NASA can confirm their first signs of manhood on the planet.
