Japanese club Sanfrecce Hiroshima players paid a very moving tribute to the victims of the tsunami with their goal celebration against Central Coast Mariners of Australia in an Asian Champions League match.
People often say footballers are oblivious to the real world and live in a bubble so it's nice to see this mark of respect from the Japanese players on the anniversary of the 2011 tsunami tragedy. Tsukasa Shiotani scored the goal and what followed was a very precise celebration from the team as they lay on the ground spelling out the date of the tragedy, 11/3.

Here's the goal which led to the celebration. We won't comment on the woeful effort from the defender to keep out the header on the line.
