Pic: L’Equipe don’t beat about the bush with their front page ahead of France v Ukraine tonight

No pressure there lads.

No pressure there lads.

Not that we will ever have much sympathy for the French national football team – especially considering that yesterday was four years to the day since THAT Henry handball in Paris – but Les Bleus have been coming in for a fair amount of criticism since a 2-0 defeat to Ukraine on Friday night that has left their World Cup hopes hanging by a thread. How do you like those apples France?

As probably the biggest sporting publication in the country, L’Equipe pulled no punches with their message for Didier Deschamps’ side ahead of the return leg in Paris tonight, with a two-word headline ‘Faites-Le’ meaning ‘Do It’ surrounded by pairs of eyes belonging to a selection of the French squad.

We wouldn’t like to see the headlines in tomorrow’s papers if France fail to get the job done but if L’Equipe need anyone to reinforce today’s message before tonight’s game, they only need call on this guy…
