Pic: Marco Reus’ ankle did not look good last night and he’s been ruled out of the World Cup
Ouch, that does not look pretty.
Germany’s World Cup hopes were dealt a pretty severe blow last night when Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus was ruled out of the tournament after suffering a nasty looking ankle injury during a friendly encounter with Armenia last night.
Reus turned on his ankle shortly before half-time in Germany’s 6-1 win and you could tell on first glance that it did not look good at all…

The German FA have since confirmed that Reus suffered a partially torn ankle ligament and will miss the tournament as a result, a huge blow to Jogi Loew’s side as Reus was a key component of the German attack and was coming off the back of an excellent season with Dortmund.
We wish him all the best with his recovery.
