It doesn’t happen too often but there is no rain falling anywhere in Ireland right now.
After a scorching weekend for most of us, it looks like the good weather is still going strong. And, according to the forecasters, the next five days at least should remain roughly the same, even if the temperatures dip a degree or two.
As the man says, we’ll take that. Anyway, on the Met Eireann website this morning there is a rare, and beautiful sight. Their homepage always features two images, one of the rainfall on Ireland and one of the cloud cover as seen by satellite. Usually the rainfall image is very busy indeed, and often you can’t even see Ireland at all under a blanket of rain.
But today’s image shows that right now, no rain is falling anywhere, ANYWHERE, in Ireland. Is it a first?
