Football boot hipsters, try and contain yourselves.

With every major boot brand likely to showcase their shiny new boots at the World Cup in a few weeks’ time, it’s already evident that they’re trying to outdo each other to make their own products stand out the most. Reaping the financial benefits that will come from impressionable football fans rushing to the shops to look like their heroes is another reason for the increased competition, of course, but that’s not important right now.

We’ve already seen what Adidas have to offer with the Battle Pack special edition models of their existing range and now Puma are really raising the bar with their high profile ambassadors set to showcase the new Tricks range by wearing a different coloured boot on each foot in Brazil next month.

The boots were on show in the Europa League Final last night and you can expect see them on Puma sponsored Arsenal players in the FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday as well as on the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Sergio Aguero, Marco Reus and Mario Balotelli in Brazil next month.

The blue and pink boots will be available in two styles of Puma boot that were already on the market – evoPower and evoSpeed – and though it is a move that might not go down well with football boot traditionalists, we wouldn’t be surprised if they prove to be a huge success.

As we always do under these circumstances, we have to ask a verdict of all boot lovers out there, yay or nay?
