Pic: Spurs players in real comfort in Moldovan changing room

The Spurs players can’t complain at a lack of comfort ahead of their Europa League tie tonight in Moldova.

The Spurs players can’t complain at a lack of comfort ahead of their Europa League tie tonight in Moldova.

AVB’s men could book their place in the last 32 of the competition tonight if they defeat Sheriff Tiraspol – don’t pretend like you have never heard of them – and Anzi fail to beat Tromso, but either way they are almost certain to reach the knock-out stages.

While Sheriff have won 12 of the last 13 domestic titles, they will have their work cut out to beat a Spurs team yet to concede a goal in the competition and history is against them. A Moldovan side has only ever once beaten an English side in UEFA competition. This was in the 2006-07 Futsal Cup when Toligma Chisinau beat Doncaster College Deaf FC 10-2.

And while you may have thought that the standard in facilities might be below what Premier League players are used to, the changing room doesn’t look too shabby at all.

You would expect an away win and not too much fanfare over this particular fixture, with Lewis Holtby summing up the apathy over this fixture, claiming to be “looking forward” to the game even though he thought Sheriff were based in Northern Ireland.
