Steaua Bucharest owner Gigi Becali may have been taken from court in a prison van, but that did not stop him predicting a home win tonight in the Champions League.
The Romanian side entertain Chelsea tonight and while the odds would seem against Steaua against their much-vaunted opponents, Becali is full of confidence.
He will not be in attendance tonight as he is currently serving a three-year prison sentence over land corruption and appeared in court today, and showed his optimism for the night’s encounter.
Becali has quite a chequered past as we have highlighted in the past, so nothing really surprises us at this stage.
After a surprise defeat to Basel in their opening game, the Blues will look for a victory to play their own get-out-of-jail card, but for Becali, he will have to watch his beloved side from behind bars.
