Currently up on the GAA Swap Shop Facebook page, this helmet is the must have accessory for the Batman-fan hurler about town.
Most hurlers are a bit slow to embrace the world of customised helmets. You get the odd one with a bit of tape on them to show their club colours but most stick to the tried and trusted plain colours.
But a post on the always useful GAA Swap Shop Facebook page caught the eye of JOE reader Colm Coughlan and he alerted us to it.
Posted by a guy called Conor Weir it seems that Conor, after getting the customised Mycro effort in August last year, has already decided to get shot of it, claiming it has been very rarely used.
Was it fear of an extra dig in training? Did Bane shout at him from the sidelines or has Conor just retired to Wayne Manor for good? So many questions, but if you ever wanted a Batman branded hurling helmet, now is your chance. If you’re an inter-county Kilkenny hurler, the colour scheme is perfect but we’re pretty sure it’s not the sort of thing Brian Cody would be too fond off.
