Picture: Here's a record of Arsene Wenger's 976 minutes as a professional player
He might have spent 1000 games on the bench, but he used to play a bit too
On the day before Arsene Wenger takes to the bench for his 1000th game as Arsenal manager, there have been plenty of stats about his wins, his losses and his time in England, but what about casting our minds back that little bit further to his playing days?
As Wenger is pretty happy to admit himself, he wasn't the word's best player, but his career at Racing Strasbourg makes for some interesting reading. Although he's got plenty of wins in his time as a manager, he wasn't so successful on the pitch at the club where he finished up his career.

Just the two wins is not the greatest we've ever seen, but thankfully for Arsenal fans he's managed to get a few more victories in his time at the helm.
Hat-tip to Behnisch on Twitter. Go over and give him an aul follow
