The Merseyside derby is definitely going to be a feisty fixture, it always stands out on the calendar, but the fans of both sides have become close in recent weeks thanks to the events surrounding the Hillsborough inquests.
Everton fans have supported their neighbours in red through the years, and now that the truth has finally been revealed, they wanted to make a simple gesture which would show their appreciation.
Once the whistle blew hostilities were resumed however, but it’s good to remember that some things in life are more important than footballing rivalries.
