McDonald's has decided to embrace their popularity in Australia by changing its name to Macca's in 13 of its restaurants down under.
The decision was taken after a survey showed that the majority of Australians refer to McDonald's by its nickname rather than its full name.
The signs on restaurants around the country will be changed in celebration of Australia Day, which takes place on January 26th.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, as they say, so we're hoping they decide to make a change here to celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year. May we suggest "Mickey D's"?
