A passenger plane carrying nearly 200 people has landed in the water after missing the runway in Bali.

A Lion Air passenger plane with 172 people on board has careered off the runway at Denpasar International Airport in Bali.

The incident occurred this morning, and while there has been no suggestions yet as to what caused the crash, the plane seems to have gotten the landing wrong and ended up in the sea at the end of the runway.

Thankfully, everyone seems to have emerged from this crash safely, and there are no reports of any fatal or serious injuries.
