Picture: Sergio Aguero’s FA Cup Final Puma boots look like a Brunch Ice Cream

That might sound ridiculous, but have a look at the picture below and see if you disagree; it’s the best comparison we can make in any case.

One of the smaller and less-talked about benefits of being a professional footballer is that you never have to worry about buying a pair of football boots ever again. One of the major suppliers will snap you up on a lucrative contract and supply you with the best footwear and in quantities so large that you can sort out your family and friends for years to come.

The downside of that arrangement, however, is that sometimes you have to wear the boots that your supplier tells you to, as is the case with Sergio Aguero, who Puma will make wear these monstrosities in the FA Cup Final a little later this month.

We’re sure the evoSPEED 1.2 Camo is a fine boot and would be decent to look at it in a different colour than this, but don’t be surprised if Aguero suffers from some convenient form of stud malfunction early doors at Wembley and changes into a pair of boots that don’t make it look as if his feet have been stained by random splashes of white, red, orange and pink paint.

Might want to start that experiment over again Puma.
