We’ve criticised The Sun for their content in the past, so is it only right that we give them the credit due for their brilliant Carlos Tevez front page headline this morning. A little crude maybe, but still brilliant.
As you probably know well by now, the Manchester City striker was fined £1,000 yesterday for driving while disqualified, but it was the fact that he has also been ordered to do 250 hours of community service that attracted the most attention and pretty funny mock-up pictures like the ‘Welcome to Manchester’ one that was doing the rounds on social media last night.
Tevez will probably end up doing a spot of football coaching with the kids as part of his community service arrangement rather than the more menial tasks demanded of most people in a similar predicament, but that wasn’t going to stop The Sun from rolling out the following headline on their front page this morning.
Some would suggest that the whole North Korea Nuclear War thing might be more front page worthy than a footballer having to do a few days worth of community service, but a great headline is a great headline after all.
