The police horse that was disgracefully punched by an irate Newcastle fan yesterday doesn’t appear too fazed by the incident and was today revelling in the media spotlight.

Bud was the victim of a cowardly act by a furious Newcastle supporter during street trouble in Tyneside following the 3-0 home reversal at the hands of neighbours Sunderland.
Thankfully the West Yorkshire Police Mountain Section this morning took to Twitter to allay any fears over the well-being of Bud.
Media interest in Bud has been huge and the stables at Carr Gate were home to far more press and photographers than would normally be present on a Monday morning.
Not that it seemed to bother Bud, quite the opposite in fact.
One thing is for sure, one Magpie isn’t going to ge the better of this horse.
