The 19-year-old will be paid £125,000 to ignore interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain.

Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling is set to sign a new deal at the club amid interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The England international, who does not celebrate his 20th birthday until December, has been in sensational form for the Reds since breaking back into the first team at the turn of the year.

Having seen colleague Luis Suarez join Barcelona after the World Cup, there were fears that arguably the club’s greatest talent could head for France or Spain as early as January.

However, the Independent report that Sterling’s current £43,000 a week deal will be torn up and he will now be on almost three times that amount.

Sterling representatives from Impact Sports Management have been in talks with Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre for a number of weeks and while “while neither side has been in a particular rush to push through an agreement, they both accept that the interest from other clubs is fuelling unwanted speculation,” according to the paper.
