Real Madrid are rumoured to be readying an offer for Chelsea left-back and England international Ashley Cole.
The 29-year-old, who earned a Premier League medal yesterday after an 8-0 drubbing of Wigan, is believed to be ready to leave Chelsea if the right club comes in for him.
Cole, who split earlier this year from wife Cheryl, is believed to be willing to consider a transfer abroad due to the problems in his private life.
Bookies meanwhile have made Real the favourite to claim the England international’s signature during the transfer window.
Bookmakers SKY BET opened a book on Cole’s most likely destination when the reports of a fresh start overseas emerged and Real registered the shortest odds at 8/1. The odds of Cole going to Inter Milan meanwhile are 20/1, AC Milan 33/1 and Liverpool 16/1.
Cole is on course to complete a domestic double this Saturday when Chelsea take on Portsmouth in the FA Cup.
