Oh, Mario, what have you done now…
Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli has been blasted by pretty much every sector of the media for his performance against Real Madrid last night and his jersey-swapping with Pepe was the incident that sparked most of that criticism.
You’d imagine if you were Mario, you would keep your head down over the next few days, work your ass off in training and hope to get a break next time he played for the Reds.
That would be the sensible approach but this is Mario Balotelli after all and his name will be back in the media tonight and tomorrow for another controversial reason. This time he’s at the centre of an off the pitch incident.
BBC reporter Mike Keegan tweeted the story this evening…
