Eye-gouging is something we would associate with the WWE or occasionally in rugby, but yesterday it took place on a far-away football field.

The horrible act occurred in a league match in Saudi Arabia yesterday, with Ibrahim Hazazi poking his fingers into one of the Al Hilal’s player’s eyes.
It would seem by the reactions that most of the players, and referee missed the severity of what Hazazi had done, and you would hope he gets a lengthy suspension for the cowardly act.
We’re guessing the Arabic commentators aren’t overly impressed by the incident either, though our grasp of the language isn’t what it could be.
