Sinead O’Connor has ended an eight-month marriage with her third husband Steve Cooney.
The controversial singer split from her latest hubbie three weeks ago, according to the Irish Independent.
O’Connor was spotted without her wedding ring while performing at 'The Music Of Ghost Light' in the Abbey Theatre in Dublin on Sunday, 3 April and was also photographed not wearing her ring on Monday outside a coffee shop in Bray with her former partner Frank Bonadio.
"Steve is lovely so it's not his fault but mine,” O’Connor told the Indo.
"It was an extremely happy marriage. I'm heartbroken about it breaking up."
O'Connor announced her wedding to Australian musician Cooney via a statement on her official website on 22 July, 2010.
"We who run this site are very happy to announce the marriage of Steve Cooney and Sinead O'Connor has taken place this morning," read the statement.
"Thanks be to the Great Lord Jah. Rastafarai. Dread I. Conquering Lion I. One love."
O'Connor’s two previous short-lived marriages were to writer John Reynolds and journalist Nick Sommerlad.
