Sky Sports announce their team of GAA presenters and analysts

From Croke Park today, Sky Sports announced the line-up for their recently announced coverage of the GAA on the channel.

The team, featuring GAA legends Peter Canavan and Jamesie O’Connor, boasts over four decades of television experience.  On the pitch between them, the team has amassed both Footballer and Hurler of the Year awards, 17 All Star awards and six All Ireland titles across the two sports.

PRESENTERS  –  Coverage will be fronted by Sky Sports presenters Rachel Wyse of Sky Sports News and Brian Carney, presenter on Sky Sports rugby league coverage.

COMMENTATORS – Dave McIntyre and Mike Finnerty will commentate on both hurling and football.

HURLING –  Lead analyst Jamesie O’Connor will be joined by co-commentator Nicky English, both former Hurlers of the Year and All Ireland Final winners.

FOOTBALL –  Lead analyst and 1995 Footballer of the Year Peter Canavan will be joined by co-commentator and 1985 All Star Paul Earley.

Sky have also confirmed that this is just the ‘core’ team and that guest pundits will be in place for each game.

It all kicks off with KIlkenny v Offaly on June 7.
