Drogheda United are clearly looking forward to the Setanta Cup Final tomorrow. So much in fact that they have decided they won’t be tweeting live updates.

Drogheda upset the odds to put out Sligo in the semi-final and it seems the excitement is so much that all club members are taking the time to enjoy the big day rather than concentrate on the social media aspect.
Not surprisingly this morning’s tweet has been met with bemusement by some supporters who were reliant on the Twitter feed to keep them up-to-date with all the action against Shamrock Rovers.
Others have justifiably questioned the point in having a Twitter account if the club won’t be using it for an event such as a Cup Final.
Either way it seems the people in charge are channelling their focus into enjoying the contest which promises to be a keenly contested final.
UPDATE: Due to the response level on Twitter following the announcement, the club say they will now tweet live from the game tomorrow. Drogs fans not at the game can now relax safe in the knowldege they will be up to speed.
