Ever fancied owning a chunk of Cat Country? Now you can, all you have to do is buy a ticket in a very unique raffle.

Here’s a great chance for you to grab a piece of land so you have an excuse to shout for Kilkenny this summer. A Facebook page called Farm Quiz has been set up this week and the prize on offer is pretty good.

Forty acres of land, near Urlingford in Kilkenny, is all yours and all you have to do to be in with a shout of winning is answer a simple question. Andpay €250 for the ticket of course.

That’s steep but 40 acres will set you back about €400,000 using the latest price per acre numbers so the prize is very valuable indeed and only 2,000 tickets will be sold.

Here are also 10 runners-up prizes of €1,000 up for grabs plus the people behind it are also donating €5k to the North Tipperary Hospice.

The only small problem we see with the whole affair is the mis-spelling of Kilkenny legend Henry Shefflin’s name on the ticket. Surely that’s unforgiveable.
