Chelsea fans welcomed the appointment of Rafa Benitez as interim manager like a hole in the head and have been only too keen to voice/display their displeasure with the former Liverpool boss.
We have seen no shortage of banners at Stamford Bridge, some more clever than others, suggesting that the Spaniard collect his things and make his way out of the club, and one Saints fan acknowledged as much with his own banner. A very small banner it must be said.
The relegation threatened side are no strangers themselves to managerial upheaval, but yesterday’s 2-1 victory will have intensified the criticism and abuse aimed in the direction of the temporary Chelsea manager.
